Day of birth

As powerful winds

Extend a sail,

You draw me forth

On love’s great trail.

The summer sky,

Your smile to me,

The evening moon

On starry sea.

All gifts you give,

Though never earned,

Through natures eyes

Are lessons learned.

Though seasons pass

And I still age,

I embrace this life

Then turn the page.

Childlike eyes

Grace rained down

Leaving puddles of miracles.

We jump into them like a child

In plastic boots and a yellow rain coat...

Living!

Mission trip to Guatemala

The Gate

Cold spring rain, drifting from the night sky

As the tears you felt the days before you died.

But joy came also, in prayer to You,

In friends, in faith, A journey not through.

Eternity’s entrance, the exit to life,

An endless existence, love without strife.

Faith, faith is the key, while love is the yeast,

Rapidly rising in hopes Of the feast.

Dancing in praise to my Lord, to my friend,

Singing with joy for your grace to the end.
